Mission Statement
The mission of 22 News is to construct an intelligent, educative, and enlightening newscast to create a more informed public – one challenged and invigorated by a deeper understanding and appreciation of events, ideas, and cultures. To accomplish our mission, we produce and acquire programming that meet the needs of the Denton community and public service standards in journalism for the University of North Texas. 22 News represents the diverse community of Denton and its duty is to employ sources in the public presentation of accurate, objective, comprehensive news on all matters vitally affecting the public.
