ACC Rolls Over Eagles With Fast Ground Game

A powerful Abilene Christian eleven completely out-played the Eagles to win by a 28-20 margin.

The Wildcats tallied twice in the second period, once in the third, and once in the fourth and totaled 336 yards rushing to only 162 for the Eagles who scored in the seconds, third, and fourth quarters.

David Lott gathered in a pass from Ray Toole for the initial Eagle score that ended an 80-yard passing drive.

Another Lott TD was canceled by a 5-yard penalty. But on the next play Toole carried the ball over for the score.

The Flock's final touchdown came as another Toole-to-Lott pass covered thirty-one yards.
