North Texas Pounds Penguins, 68-13

North Texas wrote up victory number four with a record-shattering tilt as it up-ended Youngstown University, 68-13.

Thirteen Eagles had a hand in the scoring. Abner Haynes tallied twice as did David Lott. One-time scorers were Don Audas, Jerrell Shaw, Jerry Young, Don Smith, Bill Groce, and Vernon Cole. Extra points were added by Audas and Bob Way with two apiece, and Jim Braymer, Fred Way, and Smith with one each. End Norman Denny added the point after on a pass play.

The high-scoring game was entered into the record books as the most points scored in Fouts Field. Also it is the widest margin that Youngstown has been defeated in its football history.

Haynes again added thrills to the proceedings as he made 44- and 39-yard touchdown runs along with punt returns of sixty and forty-five yards.
