Lecture concentrates on historical South

Sixty-three members of Alpha Chi have the distinction of being in the top five per cent of the junior, senior and graduate class. This promotion of scholarship and character is the primary purpose of the organization, which is a member of the National Association of College Honor Societies.

Picnics, business meetings and informative lectures add to the cultural and social growth of the members. Included in the 1962-63 agenda have been such varied activities as a revealing lecture concerning American civilization and culture and a historical review of the American South. In addition, Alpha Chi annually awards the Myrtle C. Brown Scholarship to an outstanding sophomore.
