KME hears SMU professor

Kappa Mu Epsilon, the national honorary fraternity in mathematics, heard guests such as Dr. H. C. Parrish, mathematics department director, speak on "CUPM"; Dr. James Brown of the English faculty, on "Math and the Humanities"; and Dr. Paul Minton, director of the statistics department at SMU, on "Some Problems in Mathematical Statistics."

Presenting these speakers is just one way the fraternity helps undergraduates to realize the important role of mathematics.

KME also had a barbecue, visited the Noble Memorial Planetarium at Fort Worth, and sent delegates to the KME national convention in Normal, Ill.
