Phi U announces initiates

At Christmas time, Phi Upsilon Omicron, the national honorary home economics fraternity, had a party to wrap gifts for two Denton families.

Initiation day for Phi U began early. On October 14, nine new pledges were initiated at 7 a.m. Dr. Florence Scoular gave a coffee honoring the new members at 8:30 a.m. and at 12:15 p.m. a luncheon was held at Marquis Hall.

Each year Phi U adds a book to the Home Management House Library and gives an award to the outstanding freshman home economics major. To ear money, members annually sell homecoming mums in the UB.
