Beta Alpha Psi Fraternity Gets High Rating In Interchapter CompetitionBeta Alpha Psi, national professional honorary fraternity in accounting, was organized at North Texas in the spring of 1962. Beta Pi chapter annually engages in a nationwide interchapter competition set up on a point system to determine the outstanding chapters. Points are received for various activities such as review labs, extracurricular events, meetings and scholastic standings of members. For the second school year of 1962-1963, the NTSU chapter was rated 18th out of 62 chapters which participated in the contest. Social events for the year included a Homecoming reception, fall and spring initiation banquets and meetings and dinners with a Dallas professional organization. Faculty member Dr. Stanley A. Self told the fraternity "Hot to Get Along With Your Accountant" in the fall and an NT ex, Sam Catter, told members about his "First Year in Public Accounting." Sponsored by Nelson G.
