Young Democrats Baker Elected State Secretary

North Texas Young Democrats' president William Baker was unanimously elected secretary of the State Young Democrats at the state convention held in Arlington in March. Two other NT students were elected to the State Central Committee which is the general policy making organization for the YD's between conventions.

During the year the club heard Texas Senator Ralph Yarborough who spoke on the 14-B Amendment and Dr. Cordell Smith of the government faculty who talked on Viet Nam.
