NT Cindermen Break Three Records

Six records fell in the 1965 Missouri Valley Conference meet and Eagle cindermen collected three of them. Eagle Ron Linscomb set a new broad jump record with a leap of 25¾, erasing the old mark of 24 3/8 set in 1955. Arvester Sheppard ran a 37.9 330-intermediate hurdles trip in the perlims to erase the old 38.4 MVC record. The third Eagle record was Doyle Magee 21.2 220-yard dash in the prelims. He later won the event in a close finish with Gary Osborn of Drake.
