Delta Sigma Theta deltas honored for achievement

During Negro History Week Delta Sigma Theta was honored by the NT chapter of NAACP as the Outstanding Negro Achiever at North Texas.

The North Texas Conference Queen representative was Gloria Frazier.

The Deltas service project during the Yuletide season was caroling and giving a basket of food to a needy family in Southeast Denton.

Scheduled activities were a Neophyte Ball, a fund-raising dance, a Red and White Formal Ball, a semi-formal dance and a picnic in May.

Fall officers were: Sheila Wheatley, pres.; Phyllis Thomas, v.p.; Marilyn Williams, sec.

Spring officers were: Sheila Wheatley, pres.; Phyllis Thomas, 1st v.p.; Ruth Baker, 2nd v.p.; Loretta Medlock, rec. sec.; Sandra Williams, cor. sec.; Della Harlan, treas.
