Golf Athletic Barrier Breaker Jaclyn Golden

Jaclyn Golden is the first woman to break the color barrier in golf at the University of North Texas. Now in her third year, Golden had an 82.3 average for 10 events this year. She shot her best round - 74 - at the Rio Verde Invitational in Phoenix. She played in several tournaments this past summer and won the Texas Collegiate Tournament in Huntsville with an even par.
