Basketball Athletic Barrier Breaker Creston Whitaker

Creston Whitaker was certainly one of the most versatile athletes at North Texas. He lettered in both basketball and track. Whitaker was named All-Missouri Valley Conference after leading the basketball team in field goals for the 1968 season. Creston also won a Missouri Valley Conference title in the triple jump track competition.

After graduation, he played professional football with the Los Angeles Rams. He was inducted to the North Texas Hall of Fame in 1994.
