Data Management Services

We provide automated exam grading with analysis, research data entry, scannable survey design and course and faculty evaluation services. To request NCS processing, complete the appropriate form, print a copy, and include your request with your exams.

For course evaluations, survey projects (to be keyed or scanned), and scannable form design requests, submit a Remedy ticket, print a copy, and bring it with your project for processing.

We are located in the ISB Room 140, or you may call us at (940) 565-3887.

1. Exam Grading and Analysis

NCS Form 106173

Grade Exams: Marks incorrect responses with correct answer or with an ‘x’. Provides total number items correct and total percentage correct.

Frequency Distribution Analysis: Indicates the number and/or percentage of students’ score. Provides number of students’ scanned, average number and/or percent correct.

General Test Item Analysis: Indicates the number and/or percentage of incorrect responses by item. Provides number of students scanned, and average number and/or percent correct.

Detailed Test Item Analysis: Indicates the number and/or percentage of students selecting each response. Provides number of students scanned, and average number and/or percent correct.

Item Analysis: Provides analysis indicating the Total Score Correct, Item Statistics, Scale Statistics, and Score Distribution Table.

Grade Exams: Provides the total items correct.

Item Analysis: Provides analysis indicating the Total Score Correct, Item Statistics, Scale Statistics, and Score Distribution Table.

2. Research Projects — Data Collection

Ten-Key: Manual keying of instrument, numeric and limited text. Output to Excel or SPSS format.

Optical Scanning: Scanning and verification of AutoData designed forms. Output to Excel or SPSS format.

NCS Scanning: Scanning of NCS forms (106173 and 4521). Output to Excel or SPSS format.

3. Scannable Survey Design

Scannable surveys custom designed in AutoData software.

4. Faculty Evaluation Processing

Scan, edit and process UNT departmental faculty evaluations. Standardized reports provided: Department Overall, By Instructor-Course-Section, and By Instructor. An Excel data file will be provided to run any customized reports desired.
