Applications are
processed on a prioritized category basis (Priority
1 – 5) until all funds are awarded. Generally,
awards range from $200 to $1000, based on priority
and available funds. |

Each applicant must
apply each semester. |

Incomplete or
illegible applications WILL NOT be processed .

notified of the results (award amount) by email.

6. |
The Student
Financial Aid and Scholarship Office will deposit
TPEG awards into recipients’ university accounts
approximately two weeks after the awards are made.
Any deposited funds not used to pay debts owned to
UNT will be refundable to the student upon request. |

1. |
Provide
a complete and verifiable application form and
respond quickly and credibly to any follow-up

2. |
Be enrolled fulltime in
UNT-only courses.
Fulltime Undergraduate =
12 credits
Fulltime Graduate or 2nd
Bachelor student = 9 credits

Less-than-fulltime students have lower
priority for TPEG. |

Students on
Optional Practical Training will NOT be
considered for TPEG awards. |

3. |
Have 2
immediately prior, consecutive semesters of fulltime
enrollment in UNT, IELI, and/or GPC.
Exemption for Tsunami
victims and other disaster victims will be
considered. Please give details of your situation in
Question 1. |

4. |
Have an I-20 (F-1
students) or DS-2019 (J-1 student) issued at least
one year prior to the TPEG application date.

An I-20 that is one to
eleven months old is acceptable if you did not have
to provide new financial documents in order to
receive that new I-20. |

5. |
Be in
good immigration status with a valid passport, I-94
and
I-20 or DS 2019. |

At the
time of application, be in good academic standing
(not on academic probation). |
|
7. |
Be
employed in a legal job that will pay at least $1200
for the current semester. |
|
8. |
Demonstrate
financial need to pay semester costs for tuition,
fees, books, and living expenses. |

9. |
Provide full responses to the two
following items (a. and b.):
Attach both items to the application with a staple -
not a paperclip. |

ESSAY: To
receive an I-20 (F-1 student) or DS 2019 (J-1
student) from UNT, you had to prove that you had
adequate financial resources for your educational
and living expenses. Fully explain how your
financial situation has changed since you submitted
your application for admission to UNT or IELI. |

Complete the TPEG
