WORK HISTORY:

Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of North Texas with the following Research and other Projects:

    • Epoxy and heterogeneous composites with glass fiber reinforcement

Curing kinetics and expansivity characterization including TGA, DSC, TSD, DMA, TMA dilatometry as well as PVT technique for model developments used for property prediction, developed models:

- Curing Kinetic Models

- Cure-dependent as well as Cure Time and Temperature-dependent Glass Transition Temperature Models

- Directional and Volumetric Expansivity Models based on Equation of State

- Glass Transition Temperature-dependent Volume Changes Model

- Bulk Modulus Model

    • Insertion device material for foldable intraocular lenses, lubrication

Friction characteristics, thermal analysis including DSC and TSD, optical analysis, application of several thermoplastics and metals as well as different internal and external lubricants for materials selection

    • Thermoplastics for syringes, internal lubrication

Extrusion (granulation and film extrusion), friction characteristics, thermal and optical analysis of several types of polypropylene for materials selection

    • Polymer Liquid Crystals (PLC) + thermoplastic polyimide blend w/o glass fibers

Co-extrusion and compression molding, thermal analysis including DSC, TSD, TGA, PVT technique for studying the crystallization, aging and miscibility characteristics

    • Polymer Liquid Crystals + polypropylene blend

PVT relations of blend with varying PLC concentration, Equation of State
