Opportunities
Research students working in LAPOM can get
Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Materials Science. Requirements for admission are:
- A B.S. degree in:
- Materials Science
- Materials Engineering
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Chemical Engineering
- Polymer Science
- Polymer Engineering
- Metallurgical Engineering
- A related field
- A Minimum of 1000 points (sum of verbal and quantitative parts of)
on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
- Foreign applicants need also a minimum of 550 points on the Test
of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
- Complete college transcripts and two letters of recommendation
Applications from potential transfer
students with some graduate credits are welcome as well. For further details

Research students at LAPOM can also get
Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in either Chemistry or Physics. Moreover, they can acquire
credits towards B.S. degrees in Chemistry, Physics and Engineering Technology
(in the case of Eng. Tech., permission of the department required).
