General Information on

The World Forum on Advanced Materials

The focus of the Annual POLYCHAR World Forum on Advanced Materials is on properties and characterization on one hand and synthesis, processing and manufacturing on the other, with emphasis on service performance. All classes of materials including thermoplastics, thermosets, alloys, heterogeneous and molecular composites, biomaterials, hybrids and nanohybrids are included.

Research presentations are in both oral and poster formats. Topic areas include:

Prizes to young investigators and students will be awarded for outstanding presentations in either the oral or poster format. There is a Short course on Polymer Characterization (hands-on tutorials) on the use of characterization equipment one day before the conference (as well as a equipment exhibition during the conference). Participants come from approximately 40 countries, so each conference is the most world wide congress in Polymer Science and Engineering.

Please take a look at the sample abstract form if you are planning to submit a presentation for the next POLYCHAR Forum.

The University of North Texas is 25 miles (40 km) from Dallas-Fort Worth Airport, with daily flights to Sâo Paulo, Mexico City, Toronto, London, Frankfurt/Main, Paris, Tokyo, Seoul, etc.
