UNT Participates in eXcite Survey
UNT conducted a survey for Excite Inc.,
makers of the eXcite Web search engine,
from April 11 through April 15. The survey project was overseen by
Dr. Amanda Spink (spink@lis.admin.unt.edu)
and a team of students from the Graduate School of Library and Information
Sciences.
CWIS Coordinator Mark Wilcox (mewilcox@unt.edu)
coordinated the actual data collection between UNT and Excite
(http://www.excite.com).
The data will be used by Excite to improve their search engine. It
will also provide a wealth of information about Internet searching
behavior, much of it to be published in a future paper by Dr. Spink.
