Congressional Internet Caucus

        The Congressional Internet Caucus is a bipartisan group that was formed this spring to educate members of Congress about how the Internet works and bring more members of Congress on-line. They are promoting the Internet as a way to facilitate better communication between members of Congress and their constituents.

        Statement of Principles 1

        The stated goals of the Caucus are as follows:

        • Promote growth and advancement of the Internet;
        • Provide a bicameral, bipartisan forum for Internet concerns to be raised;
        • Promote the education of Members of Congress and their staffs about the Internet;
        • Advance the United States' world leadership in the digital world.
        • Maximizethe openness of and participation in government by the people.
        • Founders

          The group was co-founded by Representatives Rick White(R-WA), Rick Boucher (D-VA), Senators Larry Pressler (R-SD) and Patrick Leahy (D-VT).
