        Fun with a purpose

If you want to have a little more serious fun, you might like to try the game Reinventing America II. This game, found at http://pathfinder.com/reinventing/, lets you run the country your way.

The game began in July, 1996 and will continue through January, 1997. You can join at any time. Players will be reviewing everything the federal government does and a pretend Congress will act as the players direct. At the end of the game, in January, the players decisions will be compiled into the Reinventing America Federal Reform Act. This document will be presented to the real Congress and to the nation at a press conference in Washington, D.C.

        Stump the politician

Hard-Q of the Week (http://www.wp.com/HARD-Q/) allows you to query the 1996 presidential candidates. According to the information at the Web site, "You can ask the 1996 presidential candidates the questions that Larry King and the New York Times won't. Since our site serves as a major town hall - perhaps 50 million persons will be represented by the questioners' organizations - we expect candidates to answer the Hard-Qs on their home pages." If no answers are given, Hard-Q promises to take them to task.
