New Dean to Chair IRC

Dr. Phil Turner is the new Dean of the School of Library and Information Science. As an integral part of this appointment, he will also have the title and duties of Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs for Distance Education. He will serve as chair of the Information Resources Council and as a member of the Provost's staff as well as the Council of Deans, and will assume other duties related to instructional technology and distance education as these are determined, according to Dr. Blaine Brownell, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs.
