Alternative Dispute
Resolution Welcome to the Alternative Dispute Resolution Website maintained by the Institute of Applied Economics at the University of North Texas. Our mailing address is P. O. Box 310469, Denton, Texas 76203. We can be reached by phone at (940) 565-3437, by fax at (940) 565-4658, or by e-mail as listed below. Instructional Resources This site is a resource for ADR faculty. It provides information about and direct links to instructional support materials for ADR courses and instructional coordination. The goal is to facilitate active learning in the classroom. Active (or experiential) learning is the cornerstone of ADR instruction. Research shows that well-designed and guided cases and simulations (1) assist the instructor in holding students attention, (2) aid in the application of basic principles, (3) support the retention of information, and (4) tend to energize both students and the instructor. The information provided here is intended to clarify the processes and to reduce the time required to locate, order, and distribute ADR support materials. In addition, the site furnishes syllabi and other information on courses taught in the ADR curriculum so that unnecessary duplication of cases and simulations may be avoided.
