About
Our Website
* Why do you recommend viewing
your website with Netscape version 3.0 or better?
Like UNT's other websites and its internet
courses, our website has been designed to work properly with, and checked out with,
Netscape browsers. Since we have chosen to limit use of the newest Netscape
features and of features available exclusively to Netscape users, visitors
preferring to
use other internet browsers should be able to view all or most of our web
pages. To
be sure of fully accessing all material, however, use Netscape 3.0 or better.
* Why do you recommend a screen
resolution of 800x600 pixels?
Setting your monitor's screen resolution to
800x600 will ensure that our pages fill your screen properly. The use of a lower
resolution setting will produce excessively large graphics and type, and necessitate the
use of the horizontal scroll bar to view the entire width of the pages. Higher
resolution settings will produce smaller graphics and type that will be difficult to view
and to read. With a screen resolution of 800x600, background images will also be correctly
centered on the screen. Your screen resolution can easily be set using the
"Display" section of Windows "Control Panel."
* I am having difficulty
printing the pages in your site that employ a white type against a dark background.
Is there a solution?
Check the "Black Type" Print
Option in your browser's "Page Setup" window --- a subset of the
"File" menu. All type will be printed in black regardless of its color on
your screen.
