CASP Institutes Individual self-study A combination of these methods
CASP Institutes
The CASP Institutes are the preferred option for candidates who flourish in an intensive and animated setting away from the distractions of the office, or who simply seek a time-saving approach. With this option, the tools to master basic CASP certification can be obtained in a total of 6 days (not always consecutive). The six-day Institutes consists of all three CASP Core Courses, each lasting two days. Multiple opportunities for networking with fellow Candidates are offered.
The procedure for achieving CASP Certification through attendance at an Institute is as follows:
1. Information, dates, and Institute registration forms are available through the CLAS Office at UNT, (940) 565-2733.
2. All registrants must become approved CASP candidates prior to the Institute. Candidacy applications are also available through the CASP office.
3. Candidates receive CASP Core Course materials prior to the Institute from the CLAS Office.
4. Upon completion of the Institute, candidates will receive a user ID and password to access the Internet testing site.
5. Candidates receive their pass or fail exam results immediately on the Internet. The CLAS Office will then send confirmation of scores in writing. Upon receipt of a passing score, candidates are updated on their status in attaining CASP certification and receive a certificate of completion for each Core Course.
While most CASP Candidates choose to complete all three Core Courses at an CASP Institute, candidates may take courses individually, depending upon their schedules and/or current status in achieving CASP certification.
