CASP Institutes Individual self-study A combination of these methods
CASP Self-Study Program
The self-study format is an option for candidates who are unable to take time off from work to attend an on-site course, or who prefer working at their own pace. This method allows individuals to work independently on the courses, thereby achieving certification as their schedules permit without incurring travel expenses.
The procedure for achieving CASP certification through the Self-Study Program is as follows.
1. Applicants complete a Candidacy Application form, enclose their resume and the appropriate application fee, and return both to the CLAS Office at UNT.
2. After receipt of candidacy approval in the mail, candidates may order the Core Course manuals through the CASP Program Office using the CASP Publication Order Form.
3. Candidates will receive their Core Course manuals along with a user ID and password to access the Internet Self-Study site. Links to additional resources are provided.
4. Candidates have 30 days from the time they begin the exam to complete and submit it.
5. Self-study candidates receive their pass or fail exam results immediately on the Internet. The CLAS office will then send confirmation of scores in writing. Upon receipt of a passing score, candidates are updated on their status in attaining CASP certification and receive a certificate of completion for each Core Course.
