The Division of Equity and Diversity at the University of North Texas would like to invite you and your colleagues to our second annual seminar, “Developing Multicultural Leaders: Women who are Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and their Allies.”  The seminar is designed to extend knowledge on women’s critical issues for persons who are lesbian, bisexual and transgender as well as their allies.  Our keynote speaker  is Sheriff Lupe Valdez.   The seminar moderator is author, activist and publisher, Patricia Nell Warren.  Additional speakers are well known leaders with local, state and national LGBT communities, including special guest, Kate Kendell, Executive Director of the National Center for Lesbian Rights.

Mainstream agencies are invited to participate so that their representatives may become more familiar with the needs of lesbians, resulting in better access to services and the achievement of welcoming environments.

It is planned that UNT's Social Work program will offer CEU's for social workers, professional counselors, psychologists and marriage and family therapists.

We also encourage your attendance at the Thursday, November 3, 2005 pre-seminar  activities a:
