The Division of Equity and Diversity at the University of North Texas would like to invite you and your colleagues to our third annual Diverse Women's Seminar, “On the Job: Employment Issues for Women who are Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and their Allies.”  The seminar is designed to extend knowledge on women’s critical issues for persons who are lesbian, bisexual and transgender as well as their allies.   This year the theme of the seminar is on employment issues.

The seminar moderator is author, activist and publisher, Patricia Nell Warren.  Patricia's latest book is titled, The Lavender Locker Room.  This book and many others will be available for sale by the UNT Bookstore.

Mainstream agencies are invited to participate so that their representatives may become more familiar with the needs of lesbians, resulting in better access to services and the achievement of welcoming environments.

Please note, the Thursday, November 2, 2006 pre-seminar workshop
facilitated by  Leadership Lambda was canceled.  We will make every effort to reschedule this workshop and offer it during the spring semester.

We are identifying individuals, organizations, and companies that are interested in financially supporting the seminar.  A committed amount from you or your organization will help us create a truly outstanding experience and will make a difference in many communities.  No amount is too small.  All contributors will be recognized in the seminar program.  Organizations, companies, and individuals donating $500 or more will be recognized on the seminar program and during the seminar as Community Diversity Supporters ($500 supporter level and higher.)

We also welcome organizations and companies to serve as exhibitors during the seminar.  The exhibitor showcase is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and attendees will have access to the exhibits throughout the day.

Con notificación avanzada, presentaciones e información pueden ser provistas en español.

Please share this information with persons you believe can contribute to the success of the seminar.  This  seminar is made possible, in part, by a grant from the Dallas Women’s Foundation.

Thank you for you support.  If there are questions, do not hesitate to contact us:
