What is an Ally?
THE UNT ALLY RESPECTS ALL PERSONS regardless
of age, color, disability, gender, gender identity, national origin,race,
religion, sexual orientation and veteran status.
The purpose of Ally training is
to establish a university-wide network of visible allies who are willing
to offer a supportive and inclusive environment to all people. The program
is open to students, faculty, staff, and interested parties from other
higher education institutions.
How do I become an Ally?
Attend the training program. The
program includes:
+ Information on campus resources
+ Discussions of terminology and current issues
+ Interactive training modules designed to increase knowledge and understanding
This program is the joint effort of many dedicated individuals
and departments at UNT. The training is conducted by UNT Allies and
professional speakers from the DFW metroplex.
