Audre Lorde Scholarship Award
The sponsor awards a scholarship to recognize out lesbians and gay men of African descent who are making significant contributions to their communities. The sponsor wants to support and encourage their continuing education by providing scholarships to those women and men enrolled in accredited technical, undergraduate and graduate programs.

Educational Research Center of America (ERCA) Community Contribution Scholarships
Recognizes and rewards students who have made an extraordinary contribution to their community and/or high school. In the past, scholarships have been awarded to students who started high school Gay-Straight Alliances (GSA’s).
Each year, awards 25 - 100 scholarships of $1000 each.

Malyon-Smith Scholarship Award
The American Psychological Association's Division 44 (Society for the Psychological Study of Lesbian and Gay Issues) offers this award to support graduate student research into psychological issues relevant to individuals who are gay, lesbian and bisexual. The scholarship amount is up to $1,000. The deadline is February 1, with applications available after November 1.

Transgender Scholarship and Education Legacy Fund
The International Foundation for Gender Education (IFGE) awards scholarships to students identifying as transgender who are studying Social Services, Health Care, Religious Instruction, Law and other academic areas.  Scholarship is given in conjunction with the Transgender Scholarship and Education Legacy Fund (TSELF).

Youth Courage Award
The Colin Higgins Foundation awards three $10,000 grants to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning youth (through age 24) who have stood up to hostility and intolerance based on their sexual orientation and triumphed over bigotry or allies who are working to end homophobia and discrimination against LGBTQ communities.
