them hold government-related positions. This is the largest regional group
of applied anthropologists, with several hundred members. The association
sponsors many activities throughout the year.
High Plains Society for
Applied Anthropology (HPSfAA)

An organization of applied anthropologists centered around the “High Plains”
region of Colorado and New Mexico. This is the second largest regional group of
applied anthropologists. It holds meetings twice a year.
