The college is ranked in the top third of Master of Fine Arts (MFA) programs nationally and offers Texas' only PhD in Art Education.

Our graduates have successful careers as studio artists, designers, art educators and art historians. Our many distinguished graduates include Jesús Moroles, sculptor and U.S. Medal of Honor recipient; Michael Faircloth, fashion designer for former First Lady Laura Bush; T Lewis; illustrator of the nationally syndicated comic strip Over the Hedge; Dana Tanamachi, custom chalk letterer whose work has been on the cover of Time; and Ron English, contemporary pop artist.
