Staff Activities
Transitions
The following are new employees:
- Jennifer Johnson is the new
Assistant Director for Computing Center Planning
and Administration. She comes to us from the
Bursar's Office, where she has been the
University Bursar for the past nine years. In
addition to her experience with budgeting, space
planning, and personnel management, Jennifer
brings to her new job disaster planning skills
that she's gained while pursuing a degree in
Emergency Management here at UNT.
- John Gonzales, has joined
Administrative Computing as a programmer on the
Year 2000 Project.
- Leslie Bowden has been selected
as UNT's Telecommunications Manager. See "Campus Computing News"
for more information about Ms. Bowden.
The following people are no longer working in the
Computing Center:
- Michael Puente, Mainframe
Operations Manager.
- Jayma Compton, part-time
Clerical Assistant.
Awards
- Bruce Pollock, Computer Systems
Manager in Network and Microcomputer Support, was
recognized as a "Soaring Eagle" in the
August, 1998 "Human Resources
Newsletter."n
