ISEC at UNT

By Luanne Linke, Programmer/Analyst, Database & Central Programming Support

The Integrated Security (ISEC) system is helping us manage security for some of our Administrative Mainframe Application systems at UNT and HSC. As applications are converted to use ISEC to administer security it will effect anyone who has an Administrative Userid.

We have placed a copy of the ISEC Manual on the Web at:. http://www.unt.edu/ccmanuals/

Since it is intended for UNT and HSC Faculty and Staff use only, we have set up ID's and password that you will need to view this manual. The ID will be your UNT ID # and the password is your last name initial (Capital) and last 4 digits of you UNT ID #.

For example:

Jane Doe
UNT ID # 123-45-6789.

Her ID is 123456789 and password is D6789.

Chapter 1 is a conceptual overview of ISEC.

  • If you are a supervisor or hiring authority, please review chapter 4 titled JOB Maintenance.
  • If you administer application security, please review chapters 3 and 5.
  • If you are an administrative programmer, look at chapter 7 to see how to implement the ISEC security calls in you application systems. n
