Microsoft Office 97 Training Opportunities

By Sandy Burke, Support Services and Training Manager

Until you know a little about a software package, it is really difficult to feel comfortable using it. The University Bookstore is selling the CBT-Systems Microsoft Office 97 CD for $10. This CD-ROM includes several CBT-Systems computer based training programs on the various Microsoft products available for use in the computer labs. All you need is a Windows95 microcomputer with a CD-ROM reader.

There are various levels -- Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced, and Power User -- for each of the major programs: Access97, Excel97, and Word97. There are also CBTs for PowerPoint97, Frontpage97, Project 98, Outlook97, as well as Windows95 and Windows NT operating systems.

Check it out, and learn some of the capabilities of the software you are being expected to use on campus. The investment of your time spent with the CBT programs will pay off when you are facing critical deadlines and do not have time to research how to use the software. We were able to get this great price for training packages through a special license with CBT-Systems, so take advantage of the opportunity to learn. n
