Web Directory Service Update

I've developed a new Web-based directory service (e.g. enable you to look up your friends' E-mail addresses & telephone numbers) that we hope to release in November. This directory will be an improvement over our current "unofficial" directory in that it will be fed from our central LDAP server which in turn is filled with data from our central administrative databases.

This is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what we'll leverage off of our new central directory service. In the coming months we will release our "Bulk Mail System" which will enable faculty and administration to send messages to students via E-mail, instead of having to mail you letters via "snail mail" and release the beginnings of "My UNT", a portal application that will enable you to check your E-mail, enter your WebCT classes, registrar/pay for classes, etc. all from a Web browser (from a single screen).*
