Spring Break Hours

Following are the hours for Computing Center-managed facilities for the Spring Break. All staff offices will be closed Monday, March 17 through Friday, March 21, 2003. The Helpdesk, ACS General Access Lab and Mainframe Print Services will maintain some services during that period, however.

  • Print Services will be continue their normal schedule through Spring Break except that on Monday, March 17 they won't open until 10 a.m.
  • The Helpdesk will maintain its regular schedule: Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to midnight, Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday 1 p.m. to midnight.
On Monday, March 17, the Helpdesk NEC phone system will not be operational from 8 a.m. to approximately 5 p.m. so the phone software can be reinstalled by the NEC Support Group. The office will be staffed to answer E-mail (helpdesk@unt.edu and webct@unt.edu ) and start taking calls when the phones come back up.
  • The ACS General Access/Adaptive Lab (ISB 110) :
Saturday, March 15: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Sunday, March 16: Closed
Monday, March 17-Friday, March 21: Lab is open 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, March 22 - Closed
On Sunday March 23, resume normal semester hours (Sundays -- 1:00 p.m. - Midnight.; Mondays -- Thursdays -- 8:00 a.m. - Midnight; Fridays -- 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.; Saturdays -- 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.)

Hours for Other Campus Facilities

The University is officially closed for Spring Break Monday, March 17 through Friday, March 21, 2002. Due to budget constraints and in order to conserve energy, heating and air conditioning will be cut back in most buildings during the March 15-23 Spring Break period. Most buildings on campus will receive only minimum heat (to prevent frozen pipes). Some buildings, however will have selected areas left open or will be open on select days. According to the Facilities Department, these buildings/areas will be open or only partially shut down:

Biology (cycled daily)
Chemistry (cycled daily)
Chilton Hall (cycled daily)
Coliseum (according to activity schedule)
Engineering Technology (Accelerator Lab)
Environmental Education, Science and Technology (cycled daily)
Gateway (according to activity schedule)
General Academic Building (Computing Center only)
Information Science Building (Computing Center input/output area, Help Desk)
Murchison Performing Arts Center (according to performance schedule)
Music Building (cycled daily)
Music Practice North and South (cycled daily)
Physics (cycled daily)
Radio, TV, Film and Performing Arts (KNTU)
Science Research Building
Sullivant Public Safety Center
Union (Post Office area)
