Emergency Information

It is important that each person gets the appropriate help they need on a timely basis: Crises or Emergencies by nature are time-critical. The Counseling and Testing Center is not able to field all calls after hours, but there are many good, helpful community services available for students. Be safe and help others be safe!

Mental Health Crises

Mental Health Crises includes suicidal thinking with intent, psychosis, homicidal thinking with intent, or other states where poor judgment presents a high risk of harm.

If an individual is at imminent suicidal or homicidal risk, or may be a danger to self or others, the fastest way to ensure immediate care and ensure safety is to call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.
