Testing Services
Beginning Monday, September 28th, 2009, all people wishing to take the GED must now go online to at register at www.utk16.org/scoring and follow the directions for completing the online demographic form. Once you have completed your demographic form, it is your responsibility to call on the Tuesday before the test (Wednesday) to verify we have received your information and that space is available. You will then be instructed to come in on the day of the test (Wednesday) with your $85 cash/money order along with your valid Texas Driver's License or State ID with picture, and any additional paperwork for those who are 16 and/or 17 years of age.

We're open 8:00am to 5:00pm from Monday to Friday, except Wednesday.
The Testing Center administers national testing programs for admission to undergraduate schools, graduate schools, and professional colleges. The Testing Center also administers national tests for certification of competency and licensure in a variety of disciples. CLEP Tests are also administered by the Testing Center.
Testing bulletins and registration forms can be obtained outside of Room 388 in Chestnut Hall (Chestnut Hall is located next to the Pohl Recreation Center).
Testers wishing to paper-pencil proctored exams as well as distance learning exams at UNT's Counseling Services and Computer Based Center, are required to submit the required paperwork and make an appointment at least 2 weeks in advance of their desired test date. Testers attempting to schedule a test within less than two weeks of the test date cannot be guaranteed a spot at our center. It is the testers responsibility to make sure their exam has arrived before arriving at the testing center. For paper-pencil proctoring please call (940) 565-2735 and for Computer Based Proctoring (test(s) taken only on the computer), please call (940) 369-7617. The fee for paper-based proctoring is $20 and $25 for computer-based proctoring.
Computer-Based Testing is conducted in the Gateway Center in Room 140.
