Frequently Requested Tests
The Accuplacer
UNT's Computer-Based Testing Center is now offering the Accuplacer. The test will be available every Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 8:00am to 1:00pm. The testing fee is $25 cash only and you must bring a picture ID. UNT is an open testing center, which means anyone can test!

College Level Examination Program
College Level Examination Program (CLEP) examinations are administered in the Gateway Center, Room 140. UNT is an open test center and you do not have to be a UNT student to take a CLEP exam. There is a non refundable $20 registration fee payable in cash/money order ONLY to UNT on the day of the exam. There is also a separate $70 fee payable by check, credit card, or money order on the day of the exam. The CLEP is given every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday before 3:00pm. Myers-Briggs Type Indicator
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is available by appointment only. Call the Student Counseling Center at 940-565-2741 to make an appointment with a counselor.
Strong Interest Inventory
Strong Interest Inventory (SII) is available by appointment only. Call the Student Counseling Center at 940-565-2741 to make an appointment with a counselor.
The GED
The GED (High School Equivalency Test) is normally given every Wednesday from 7:45am to 5pm. Registration is every Monday from 8:00am until 11:00am and from 1:00pm until 3:00pm. The test fee is $85 cash/money order ONLY. Each candidate must present a valid Texas Driver's License, Department of Public Safety picture ID, military ID, or passport at the time of registration. Please call in advance (940-565-2735) to make sure the test is given the week you plan to test.

Quick THEA
Quick THEA (formerly TASP) requires no pre-registration and you do not have to be a UNT student in order to take the Quick THEA. The test may only be taken once every 30 days. The exam is $29 and you may pay by check, money order, or credit card (no Discover or American Express). For a list of upcoming testing dates/locations click here.

ISAT
ISAT (Institutional SAT) is offered here at the Counseling Center. To be eligible for the exam, you must have applied, been admitted or be enrolled at UNT. The cost of the test is $40 payable in check, money order, or cash. The deadline to apply is the Friday before the test. The ISAT can only be taken once.

Report time for all dates is 1:00pm. Testing space is limited to 10 students per session. Pre-registration is recommended by submitting your application, along with the $40 registration fee on or before the testing day. There is no pre-registration available over the phone or via the internet.
