1. Minimum credit of 128 semester hours, of which 42 must be advanced, and fulfillment of degree requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree as specified in the College of Arts and Sciences section of this catalog.
2. Major area (speech and hearing sciences): 39 hours including: SPHS 3020, 3050, 3070, 3080, 4010, 4060 (6 hours), 4090, 4120, 4130, 4140, 4150 and 4210.
3. Students should have a degree plan prepared as soon as the major is declared. A minimum GPA of 3.0 must be maintained on all courses in the major area.
4. University requirements: consult the College of Arts and Sciences section and "University Core Curriculum Requirements" in the Academics section of this catalog for general requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree.
5. Students majoring in speech and hearing sciences are required to complete a minor. Students may elect one of the following:
a. a minimum of 18 hours in a department outside of speech and hearing sciences, of which 6 must be advanced, orb. 18 hours, including 9 advanced, in a multidisciplinary program from two or more departments outside speech and hearing sciences. The courses must be selected in consultation with the student's adviser.
