4950 and maintain a 3.5 GPA in psychology courses and a 3.0 GPA overall. The BS with a major in psychology is primarily for those students planning to enter a graduate program in psychology leading to a PhD degree.
Students majoring in psychology must complete at least 34 hours of psychology, composed of the following 16-hour core: PSYC 1630, 1650, 3610, 3650 and 4600. Additionally, BS students with a major in psychology must take PSYC 3630 and 4950 and maintain a 3.5 GPA in psychology courses and a 3.0 GPA overall.
