General Tutorial on Logging into UNT Computer-Based Training

All current faculty, staff, and students at UNT are eligible to use our training from Skillport and NETg (Knowledgnet). To access this training a user's eligibility must first be determined. All eligible user accounts have been pre-loaded into both the Skillport and NETg/Knowledgenet systems so there is no need for you to apply for an account. We have tried to make the login to both of these cbt systems as seamless as possible for you. Occasionally, our files-update 'misses' an eligible user. If you have problems connecting to Skillport or NETg/Knowledgnet, it is possible that your account was inadvertantly not created. Problems of this sort should be immediately emailed to ehinkle@unt.edu and will be fixed quickly.

All computer-based training courseware from Skillsoft and Netg can be accessed by going to https://cbt.acs.unt.edu/logon.htm, the UNT online-training logon page.

Here is the logon screen:

After you are authenticated as an eligible user, you will see this screen:

Please note that on this screen there are extensive instructions as to what operating systems and plugins work with the different training providers. Skillsoft only works on Windows machines with the Internet Explorer browser. It requires the Flash plugin. NETg/Knowledgenet appears to be compatible with Windows, Macintosh, and Linux workstations :-) However, we have noticed in our testing that NETg/Knowledgenet courseware is a real memory hog and it is recommended that you shut down all other applications when using this software.
