To install Microsoft Windows Media Player go to:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/default.asp
To install Adobe Reader go to:

Recommended system requirements: Disk space required to install: The setup program for each collection can be found in the collection folder at the root of the CD. Each collection installs separately. The collection can be installed by launching the setup.exe file. Collections can be installed via the CD, from a network location, or through the Active Directory. During installation, the user can choose between Complete (single-station), Custom (single-station), or Web Server. If a Complete install is chosen, all titles within a collection will be installed to the MELL folder within the default Program Files location. If a Custom install is chosen, a user can select which titles within a collection to install, as well as choose the location to which files are installed. If a previously installed collection was installed to the default location, then all subsequent collections will install only to the default location.
You can modify the titles installed within a particular collection later by going to the Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, and selecting the collection you wish to modify from the list of installed programs, or by re-launching setup. From Add or Remove Programs, select "Change" and then click "Next" to proceed to the Program Maintenance Window. Within Program Maintenance, you can choose to "Modify" which titles are installed, "Repair" any installation errors that may have occurred, or "Remove" to remove the entire collection.
To uninstall a collection, re-launch setup, or go to Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, and select the title of the collection you wish to remove from the list of programs. Select "Remove" and all files for that particular collection will be removed.
It is recommended that you remove any previously installed beta version of this product before installing the collections on this CD. To uninstall a collection, go to Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, and select the title of the collection you wish to remove from the list of programs. Select "Remove" and all files for that particular collection will be removed.
If you just want to install a few courses, select Custom installation, otherwise Complete will install all
of the courses for you: When the elearning courses first launch, you will be given an option to register. You do not need to
register and should do so only if you are set up with a .NET Passport account. Otherwise, just click 'no', close, and
continue: Here is the default location on the desktop for the MS elearning:
The Customization Tool is not necessary and should only be installed if you are set up with a .NET Passport account.
The setup program for the Customization Tool is located in the Customization Tool folder. The Microsoft .NET Framework is required to run the Customization Tool, and will be automatically installed during Customization Tool setup if necessary.
The Customization Tool will be installed to C:\Program Files\MELL\CustomizationTool by default. This location can be changed by choosing Custom install.
The Customization Tool can be launched from either a) the desktop shortcut created by setup, or b) by choosing Start, Microsoft eLearning Library, and then choosing Customization Tool.
To uninstall or repair the Customization Tool, open the Control Panel, click Add or Remove Programs, and then click Customization Tool.
*Accessibility and Simulations -
Simulations in the eLearning courses are not accessible via keyboard shortcuts at this time.
*Microsoft XML Parser 3.0 -
During installation of a collection, setup installs MSXML Parser version 3.0 if the minimum version required is not detected. Microsoft XML Parser 3.0 is also provided on the product CD in the \support folder (file = msxml3sp2Setup.exe) and can be installed separately.
*Microsoft Windows Installer -
Windows Installer is required to run setup. If running setup from setup.exe, Windows Installer version 2.0 is required. Setup.exe will check the system, and if Windows Installer is not detected, or an earlier version is present, setup.exe will automatically install Windows Installer version 2.0, and setup will continue. If running setup from the .msi file, Windows Installer version 1.1 is required. The Customization Tool requires Windows Installer version 2.0.
*Windows Scripting Host -
If, during setup, you receive an error stating that the required version of Windows Scripting Host is not present, you will need to update Windows Scripting Host. Version 5.6 of Windows Scripting Host has been included on the product CD in the \support folder (file = scripten.exe for Windows 2000; scr56en.exe for Windows 98 or Windows Me).
*Issues with Internet Explorer 5.01 -
When viewing any topic, Internet Explorer 5.01 will stop responding if no action is submitted for a period of 45 minutes or longer. To resolve, shut down Internet Explorer and reopen the collection.
On a Windows 2000 machine with Internet Explorer 5.01, with any browser window open, an attempt to register a newly installed collection will cause a security message box to open behind the MELL viewer window. To see the security message box, press Alt+Tab. After choosing yes in the security message box, registration of the collection can continue.
*Issues with Internet Explorer 5.5 -
Under some circumstances, when running Internet Explorer 5.5, the following keyboard shortcut commands will cause the viewer to stop responding:
*Assessments must be saved as Unicode -
All assessments must be saved as Unicode or the file will be unreadable.

Accessibility Information
Your Web browser has features that improve the readability of pages. For information about the accessibility features provided by your Web browser, look for information in the browser's Help about how to customize your browser to display the fonts and colors that you prefer. If your browser is Microsoft Internet Explorer, look for "Accessibility" in the Help Table of Contents.
With the minimum required Microsoft Windows operating system, you can set or change system accessibility options. Many of these options affect the way you work in Microsoft programs. For example, the StickyKeys feature in Windows 2000 or higher is designed for people who have difficulty holding down two or more keys at a time. When a shortcut in a Microsoft program requires a key combination, such as CTRL+P, StickyKeys will enable you to press one key at a time instead of pressing them simultaneously.
At this time, the blink rate of flashing images cannot be altered by the user.
