The Center for Achievement and Lifelong Learning

Located on the north edge of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in Denton, the University of North Texas has extensive meeting space that can accommodate groups as large as 40,000 and as small as 15. Thirteen local hotels and eight dorms provide close, reasonably priced sleeping rooms. From outdoor venues to intimate classroom settings, the University has facilities to meet every requirement.
Whether you are hosting an important business conference, seminar, or sports event, the Center's meeting professionals will attend to every detail.
The University Union, where meeting and social functions can be held, has a professional catering staff to provide complete catering services for all your special event needs. The staff can arrange for meals to be served in the Union's many meeting rooms, suites, or ballrooms.

For groups big and small, the catering staff will plan a quality and worry-free event. A new food court in the Union features the only wood-burning pizza oven on a US college campus, as well as other menu choices ranging from Tex-Mex fare to deli sandwiches, soups, and salads. Low-cost, "all-you-can-eat" meals are also available in dorm cafeterias.
Participants wishing to dine off campus can choose from numerous restaurants in Denton or take a short drive to restaurants on area lakes and in the neighboring cities of Dallas and Fort Worth. Denton offers a variety of leisure opportunities and a temperate climate. Around the courthouse square are a variety of antique shops, fun restaurants, and a lively mix of other retail businesses. Cultural attractions center around the nearby arts and entertainment corridor, which features numerous art galleries and nightclubs. A trolley serving the campus can take participants to this busy, vibrant downtown area.
