Mr. Eddy Lynton
Biographical Sketch
Eddy Lynton is currently an Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. In addition to being a valued member of the UNT faculty, Lynton works as an Adult Probation Officer for the Denton County Community Supervision and Corrections Department (CSCD). Prior to accepting his position with Denton CSCD, Lynton served as a Pre-Sentence Investigator with the 61st District Court in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Lynton s SEQ CHAPTER \h \r 1erved as the liaison to Immigration Naturalization Service (INS) in addition to supervising offenders. Lynton has also worked in Juvenile Probation and Parole with a posting in Clovis, New Mexico. Lynton was tasked with designing and implementing the Intensive Supervision Probation (ISP) program for Eastern New Mexico’s 9th Judicial District. He has also enjoyed employment with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Eddy Lynton is a graduate of New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI), and Eastern New Mexico University. Lynton also attended Albuquerque Institute of Technology and the University of North Texas.
Much of Lynton’s research interests include juvenile gangs, vigilantes, community supervision and sex crimes.
Lynton is a member of Alpha Sigma Phi and Phi Kappa Beta, International Association of Blood Stain Pattern Analysts, and the American Probation and Parole Association
