Technical Assistance for Term Papers
 

    Dr. Holman generally requires oral presentations in place of term paper assignments.  When writing assignments are required, he expects:

He advises students to start early in the semester on the writing project and allow time to edit or rewrite your work as necessary.
 

Criteria for Grading Case Analysis
For and A (9-10 point)

  1. The case analysis is complete, you have analyzed, described, discussed, etc., whatever was in the case.  The case analysis is essentially correct.
  2. The case analysis is complete, specific, all aspects of the analysis is covered.
  3. The case analysis is well-organized and provides detail.
  4. The case analysis has some originality or depth and is elaborated on to some degree.

For a B (8 points) or C (7 points)

  1. The case analysis is essentially correct.
  2. The case analysis is less complete, some aspects of the case analysis are not included, the case analysis is general and/or vague.
  3. The organization is poor and needs more detail.
  4. The case analysis lacks detail.

For a D (6 points) or C (7 points)

  1. The case analysis is only partially covered and/or the analysis is only partially accurate.
  2. The case analysis is incomplete and too general.
  3. There is little or no detail.

For a F (0-5 points)

  1. The case analysis is not accurate and/or only partially correct.
  2. The case analysis is not complete.
  3. The case analysis has no organization, and no detail.
