Courses with Writing Projects

Dr. Taylor feels that writing projects make students assimilate information and synthesize data in to cohert thought.  The ability to write is also a critically important skill in any profession.

    Dr. Taylor advises students to:

  1. goto the library
  2. outline your paper first to make sure you have a central theme with corresponding and supporting points
  3. use a consistent and logical format
  4. choose a point of view and support it
  5. have a simple, non complicated introduction
  6. be concise and to the point
  7. write with passion and enthusiasm
  8. have a strong conclusion
  9. give a rough draft for him to go over before the paper is due

Dr. Taylor allow's students to choose a referencing format, though he prefers MLA.  Whatever referencing format is choosen must be used consistently throughout the paper.  Correct punctuation, spelling, grammar, and other technical aspects are very important in communicating your meaning.  Without it, the content is often lost.  Papers should be around 15 to 20 pages with as many citations as is needed.
