IT Systems Access Revocation
Charlotte Russell reported on issues related to timely IT Systems access revocation and outlined a procedure for departments to submit notification of changes in employment status and for system administrators to remove access as appropriate. She asked DCSMT to provide feedback in regard to the nature of the reporting required to support access revocation for the systems they manage.
HORIZON WIMBA LIVE CLASSROOM DEMO
Patrick Pluscht introduced Estelita Young of Wimba, inc. who, gave a demo of the Wimba live classroom service. Estelita was assisted by Jody Wexler, Wimba sales representative from New York City, and Sean Hessenthaler from the University of Georgia. The demo showed the video conference, presentation, whiteboard, and desktop sharing features of the Live Classroom service.
OLD BUSINESS
Philip Baczewski gave a status report on the Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange migration project. Exchange Training/Knowledge Transfer session for Network mangers is planned for June 7th, 9am - noon. It will include the day to day maintenance activities and is intended for support staff who help maintain mailbox services for faculty and staff. Uwe Rossbach announced that a meeting would be held on the following Friday to develop common procedures for deploying the Outlook 2007 client on desktop workstations on campus.
