APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Minutes from December 7, 2007, were approved as written.
ITSM 7 CALL TRACKING CUSTOMER INTERFACE
Richard Sanzone gave a demonstration of the new IT problem reporting service for end users. This simple web interface gather user and problem information and creates tickets in the Remedy ITSM 7 trouble ticketing system which are routed to the appropriate support staff. The new system will be rolled out in coordination with the migration to the new ticketing system and will be presented via a web page that will feature searchable or browsable help information as well. Migration is currently slated for early February.
OLD BUSINESS
Elizabeth Hinkle-Turner reviewed the pending purchase of SofTrack seats to support those currently using Zenworks for application metering limits.
NEW BUSINESS
No new business was discussed.
AREA REPORTS
Susan Pierce noted that Micromaintenance Services is no longer maintaining UPS systems and noted that if DCSMT wished to adopt a standard, MMS could possible resume some support service. Paul Hons reported that COE had purchased Belkin UPS systems through Dell.
Sean Flowers reported that hiring was underway to replace Uwe Rossbach as the IT support manager for the College of Engineering.
