APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Minutes from October 16, 2009, were approved as written.

WINDOWS 7 OVERVIEW, APPLICATION COMPATIBILITY FACTORY PROGRAM, AND MICROSOFT DESKTOP OPTIMIZATION PACKAGE

Jeff Stewart (in person) and David Bachrach (via teleconference) were on hand from Microsoft to present an overview of Microsoft's Application Compatibility Factory and Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP). MDOP could assist in the management of Microsoft desktop applications but would incur and additional charge per campus workstation.

OLD BUSINESS

Philip Baczewski discussed the idea of and SCCM working group and said that because of busy schedules, that meeting may need to be put off until December.

NEW BUSINESS

No new business was discussed.

AREA REPORTS

Craig Terrell provided a progress report on the Active Directory Migration to Server 2008 and said that the HSC domain would be migrated first, but that the entire project should be complete within two weeks with no interuption to services, after which schema changes could be applied to provide better support for Mac OS X systems on AD.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:30 a.m. The next meeting is scheduled for November 20, 2009.
